Here is a citrus-y,fresh,moist lemon sponge cake with the ingredients which one might definitely have in their pantry. It is a cake which might have versatile frosting such as lemon icing, cream cheese frosting and butter cream icing. But I have kept it pretty simple.

What you need Qty

Dry ingredients

All purpose flour 1cup

Baking powder 1 tsp

Baking soda 1/2 tsp


Wet ingredients

Sugar 1/2cup

Thick curd 1/2cup

Melted butter 1/2 tsp

Refined oil 1/4 cup

Lemon juice 2 tbsp

Lemon zest 1 tbsp

Milk 1/3cup

Food color(optional) A pinch/1/2tsp


Icing

Sugar 2-3tbsp

Clove 1no

Cinnamon 1

small piece
